Improving the Communication Between Labour Office Advisers and their Client |
The main objective of the project is to raise awareness for the importance of personal competences in the job counselling and job mediation process. In order to achieve better matching results, labour office staff working with job seekers and with employers must improve their counselling and their communication techniques to “understand the employers’ language”.
The products
We will develop a modular curriculum, training materials and a handbook, so that these hitherto rather neglected contents can be incorporated into the training schemes of labour office advisers, counsellors and job mediators. The need for developing these products is being expressed by employment organisations or labour market administrations from “new” and “old” EU member states.
The partnership comprises eight employment organisations or labour market administrations, four vocational training and guidance providers with long-standing experience in the labour market related training and guidance and four expert partners specialised in adult education.
